Girard Miller was named chief investment officer of the $9.2 billion Orange County Employees Retirement System, Santa Ana, Calif., confirmed spokesman Robert Kinsler.
Mr. Miller will join the system on July 2 and replaces Jennifer Hom, the pension fund's managing director of investments, who resigned in January after one year in the post.
Mr. Miller was senior strategist at the PFM Group, confirmed PFM spokeswoman Sandra Sosinski. She had no further information by press time.
