VIA Metropolitan Transit, San Antonio, issued an RFP for an investment consultant for its defined benefit and other post-employment benefits plans, confirmed Laura Garza, contract administrator.
The DB plan has about $172.2 million in assets, while the OPEB plan has about $4.5 million.
Incumbent Segal Advisors is invited to rebid. The contract is for five years.
The selected firm will recommend investment strategies and review the plan's investment policy, according to the RFP. To qualify, the firm must have at least 20 public pension clients and a total of $5 billion in assets under advisement.
The RFP is available on VIA's website. Proposals are due at 4:45 p.m. CDT July 20. A hiring decision is expected in August or September, Ms. Garza said.
