New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany, made an additional investment of $100 million with emerging markets equity manager Genesis Investment Management, according to a posting on the website of state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, the sole trustee of the $150.3 billion pension fund.
The pension fund previously invested $300 million with Genesis, Eric Sumberg, a spokesman for Mr. DiNapoli, wrote in an e-mail.
The pension fund also announced a first-time commitment of $20 million to Siris Partners II. “Siris is a buyout fund with an operational focus that invests across several industries,” Mr. Sumberg wrote.
