Air Products & Chemicals Inc., Allentown, Pa., added six investment options to its $1.6 billion 401(k) plan, confirmed John S. Huemmrich, manager-benefit investments.
The Air Products & Chemicals Inc. 401K Plan added the Fidelity Spartan Extended Market Index fund and Fidelity Spartan 500 Index fund. The Spartan 500 fund replaces a commingled pool S&P 500 index fund managed by State Street Global Advisors. Mr. Huemmrich said the plan wanted to switch to a mutual fund option.
The plan also added the Vanguard Total International Stock Index fund and the Vanguard Total Bond Market Index fund, both new offerings for the plan.
The plan also added the Principal Midcap Blend fund, a new option, and the J.P. Morgan Large Cap Growth fund, which replaces the American Funds Growth Fund of America. Mr. Huemmrich said the reason for the switch from American Funds was it was not necessarily a good fit for their large-cap growth category.
The plan now has 14 investment options.
