Kentucky Public Employees' Deferred Compensation Authority, Frankfort, will issue RFPs in the next 30 days for a record keeper and transition consultant, confirmed Chris Helvey, assistant to Robert Brown, executive director.
The RFPs will be posted on the state's procurement website, Mr. Helvey said in a telephone interview.
Incumbent record keeper ING U.S. Retirement Services, whose contract expires June 30, 2013, told the $1.9 billion deferred compensation plan it will not rebid.
The transition consultant will assist in the record-keeping switch. Incumbent Winner Resources is invited to rebid.
Mercer, the authority's investment consultant, is assisting with both searches. The board anticipates hiring a new record keeper in November. The consultant's contract will start July 1.
Separately, the board hired CliftonLarsonAllen as its new external auditor, replacing Blue & Co., which rebid. An RFP was issued in March.
Also, the board extended Mercer's contract for two years as mutual fund and stable value consultant. The contract was set to expire on June 30.
