Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, hired hedge fund-of-funds managers Prisma Capital Partners and EnTrust Capital to run a combined $300 million, Bobby Beale, chief investment officer, confirmed in an e-mail.
Prisma will run $200 million; EnTrust will run $100 million.
Prisma’s portfolio is a separate account that is customized to fit with the $9.3 billion retirement system’s overall hedge fund program, Mr. Beale wrote. EnTrust’s portfolio is a special opportunities separate account.
Other finalists in the shortlist search were Blackstone Alternative Asset Management and Permal Group.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
Mr. Beale did not respond to questions for further information by press time.
