Sanford (Fla.) Police Officers' Retirement System is searching for a core-plus and/or opportunistic fixed-income manager to run $3 million, confirmed Steven Roth, director of manager research at Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the $26 million retirement system.
The new manager likely will be funded from the retirement system's $6 million fixed-income allocation and expands the system's fixed-income investments.
Portfolios may include products such as high-yield and emerging markets debt, but the search is not open to strategies that invest in only one type of security, according to the RFP.
The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT June 15. A timetable for finalist selection and a decision have yet to be determined.
Cynthia Lindsay, Sanford city finance director, did not return a phone call by press time.
