Mark Konyn was named CEO of Cathay Conning Asset Management, the Hong Kong-based joint venture launched last year by Cathay Financial Holding Co. and Conning Asset Management to provide insurance asset management in the Asia-Pacific region.
The position is new, said Cathay Conning spokeswoman Katrin C. Lieberwirth.
According to a news release by Cathay Conning, Mr. Konyn was CEO for Asia Pacific at RCM, a subsidiary of Allianz Global Investors. Megan Frank, Allianz spokeswoman, couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
