Westchester County Deferred Compensation Board, White Plains, N.Y., is searching for a consultant to evaluate the board's current bundled provider, confirmed Ann Marie Berg, county commissioner of finance and chairman of the board.
The five-year contract of the $390 million plan's current provider, Hartford Retirement Services, expired Dec. 31.
There was an option for two one-year renewals, the first of which the board exercised. Ms. Berg said the board is looking for a firm or individual to evaluate The Hartford and determine whether the board should renew for a second year.
In March, The Hartford announced it plans to put its retirement unit up for sale. The consultant also will be in charge of putting together an RFP for a bundled provider, the timing of which depends on whether The Hartford's contract is renewed.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on June 20.
The RFP is available on the county's website.
