Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System, Oklahoma City, named six finalists for its international equity search, confirmed Robert Jones, executive director of the $1.6 billion system.
WCM Investment Management; Harding Loevner; Vontobel Asset Management; Wentworth, Hauser & Violich; Turner Investments; and Chautauqua Capital Management will make presentations to the board in May.
The pension fund issued RFPs in January for active international and emerging markets equity managers to run $50 million to $70 million each. The board will make final hiring decisions on both in May or June, Mr. Jones said.
Separately, the board approved terminating a $51.6 million long/short hedge fund-of-funds strategy managed by Attalus Capital for performance reasons, Mr. Jones said in a telephone interview.
Patrick Egan, founder, president and CEO of Attalus, was not available for comment.
