Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is searching for a real estate manager to run up to $5 million, according to an RFP posted on website of the retirement system's consultant, Wainwright Investment Counsel.
The plan had a 10.5% allocation to real estate as of Jan. 1, 2011, the most recent data available.
While the RFP does not specify a strategy, the $665 million retirement system is searching for a fund from firms that “have at least three prior funds that pursue the same strategy as the fund being proposed,” according to the RFP.
The RFP is available on Wainwright's website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT May 16. A hiring date is still to be determined.
William Farmer, executive director of the retirement system, and Jeff Fabrizio, the plan's consultant at Wainwright, did not return telephone calls by press time for additional information.
