Paul Swanson was named head of U.S. asset management distribution at SEI Investments.
The position is new, said spokeswoman Dana Grosser. Mr. Swanson will lead SEI's efforts in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with large distributors, including wirehouses, insurance companies, banks and retirement platforms, as well as directing the company's strategic sales planning.
He will report to Kevin Barr, executive vice president and head of SEI's investment management unit.
Most recently, Mr. Swanson was head of sales for the defined contribution intermediary channel with Lincoln Financial Distributors, through October 2010. Ms. Grosser said she didn’t have any details on Mr. Swanson’s activities over the past 18 months.
