Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System committed $75 million to five private equity funds, according to materials from the Thursday board meeting of the $14.7 billion pension fund.
The commitments are $20 million to venture capital fund Canaan IX; $20 million to buyout fund Thoma Bravo Fund X; $20 million to special situations fund Windjammer Senior Equity Fund IV; $10 million to venture capital fund SG Growth Partners II, managed by Stripes Group; and $5 million to buyout fund Incline Equity Partners III.
Private equity manager Portfolio Advisors made the commitments in the first quarter under its semidiscretionary investment authority from the pension fund, stated Tom Lopez, chief investment officer in an e-mail.
