Merseyside Pension Fund, Liverpool, England, named Deloitte, Mercer and Xafinity Consulting to its list of preapproved manager selection consultants, confirmed Owen Thorne, investment officer at the £5 billion ($7.9 billion) fund.
Also, JLT Investment Consulting and bfinance were reappointed to the list.
The pension fund will choose from among the list when it performs manager searches over approximately the next four years, Mr. Thorne said.
Hymans Robertson, which had been on the list, did not rebid.
Aon Hewitt, which also was on the list, was not invited to rebid because the pension fund hired the firm in 2011 to advise on investment strategy and asset allocation and does not allow consultants also to perform manager selection functions.
A search began in December.
