Robert N. Gensler, a portfolio manager running more than $13 billion in global equity assets with T. Rowe Price, will retire at the end of 2012, confirmed spokesman Bill Benintende.
On Oct. 1, David J. Eiswert, portfolio manager of the $695 million T. Rowe Price Global Technology fund, will replace Mr. Gensler as portfolio manager for most of those assets, including the $596 million T. Rowe Price Global Stock fund and the $177 million T. Rowe Price Institutional Global Equity fund.
Mr. Eiswert also will assume management of assets in other investment vehicles, including separate accounts, common trusts, subadvisory portfolios and SICAV funds, Mr. Benintende said.
Scott Berg, portfolio manager of T. Rowe’s $1.14 billion global large-cap equity strategy, will assume oversight on Oct. 1 of the roughly $500 million of Mr. Gensler’s global equity strategy invested in Australian equities, Mr. Benintende said.
Joshua K. Spencer, an equity research analyst focused on the technology sector, will succeed Mr. Eiswert as portfolio manager of the Global Technology fund effective June 1. Mr. Benintende said Mr. Spencer will retain some of his previous responsibilities, with other team members taking over other areas.
