Illinois State Board of Investment, Chicago, committed $20 million each to private equity funds Riverside Partners V and Court Square Capital Partners III, confirmed William R. Atwood, executive director of the $11.5 billion system.
The Riverside fund focuses on profitable family and management-owned companies with enterprise values between $25 million and $150 million, and the Court Square fund targets upper-middle-market companies in the business services, general industrial, health-care, telecommunications and technology sectors.
