Tom Fisher, a managing director and senior consultant adviser with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, was named head of the firm's Americas consultant strategy team.
Mr. Fisher replaces Susan Oh, who left to join Janus Capital Group in October as senior vice president of its U.S. institutional group.
Mr. Fisher said in a telephone interview that he'll be relocating to New York City for his new role leading a consultant relations team of seven senior sales professionals and seven associates following a decade with J.P. Morgan Asset Management in San Francisco.
Mr. Fisher said he's planning to continue working with a number of the consulting firms he served in his previous role and won't be looking to fill the position opening with his move from San Francisco. He remains a managing director.
