Stephen Beinhacker joined SEI's investment management unit as global head of equities.
The position — overseeing three equity portfolio management teams based at SEI's headquarters in Oaks, Pa., and three additional teams in London, Toronto and Hong Kong — is new, said Kevin P. Barr, executive vice president and chief investment officer of SEI Investments, in a telephone interview.
Mr. Beinhacker comes to SEI from Congruent Equity, the alternatives investment firm he founded at the end of 2011 after leaving his position as CIO of emerging markets growth equity at AllianceBernstein.
Mr. Beinhacker is in the process of closing Congruent Equity, Mr. Barr said.
