Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System, Jefferson City, hired Brown Advisory to run $100 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities, said Brian Collett, chief investment officer of the $4.5 billion system.
An invitation-only search was conducted by staff to replace INTECH, which was terminated for performance several months ago, said Mr. Collett in a telephone interview. Twenty firms made presentations to the system.
INTECH spokeswoman Kate McGann wrote in an e-mail that INTECH does not comment on the investment decisions of its clients.
