Baltimore City Employees' Retirement System issued an RFP for an actuarial consultant, confirmed Roselyn H. Spencer, executive director of the $1.3 billion retirement system.
Incumbent Cheiron is invited to rebid. The contract is for three years with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods, starting with the June 30, 2013, valuation period.

The RFP is available on the pension fund's website.
Proposals are due May 1. Finalists will present to the board on Aug. 16 with a hiring decision expected sometime in September.
