Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System, Oklahoma City, named six finalists for its emerging markets equity search, confirmed Robert Jones, executive director of the $1.6 billion system.
Wasatch Advisors, Lazard Asset Management, Vontobel Asset Management, ClariVest Asset Management, William Blair and DuPont Capital Management will make presentations at the April 4 investment committee meeting.
A selection will be made at the April 20 or May 18 board meeting, Mr. Jones said.
The pension fund issued RFPs in January for active international and emerging markets equity managers to run $50 million to $70 million each. Mr. Jones said the international equity finalists will likely be named at the April 20 board meeting.
One or more managers could be hired for each mandate. Asset Consulting Group is assisting with the searches.
