Chetan Ghosh will become chief investment officer of the £4.7 billion ($7.5 billion) pension system of U.K. energy company Centrica PLC on April 1, according to someone with knowledge of the situation.
Mr. Ghosh is an investment manager at the system, which comprises the Centrica Engineers Pension Scheme, Centrica Pension Plan and Centrica Pension Scheme, according to the company's 2011 annual report.
Mr. Ghosh will replace John Clark, who is partially retiring but will remain chairman of the system's investment committee, according to the source, who declined to be named. Attempts to reach Mr. Clark were unsuccessful.
Gregory Wood, Centrica spokesman, declined to comment.
