Clay Khan was named senior vice president and head of a new Toronto office at Neuberger Berman, confirmed spokesman Alexander Samuelson.
The position is new. Mr. Khan oversees institutional distribution and client service for the Canadian institutional marketplace. He will report to Scott Kilgallen, New York-based managing director.
Neuberger Berman has had clients in Canada for years, but Mr. Samuelson said: “We feel it's a great opportunity to further service our clients with a local presence.”
Mr. Khan was a client adviser at J.P. Morgan Asset Management's institutional organization in Canada, responsible for business development for pension plans, insurance companies and endowments and foundations throughout the country. Charlotte Powell, spokeswoman at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said the firm does not comment on personnel moves.
