El Paso (Texas) Firemen & Policemen's Pension Fund committed a total of $14 million to three alternative investments, according to recently released minutes of the Jan. 18 board meeting.
The board committed $9 million to Partners Group Global Real Estate 2011. The $1 billion pension fund had $9 million invested in the Partners Group Real Estate 2009 fund as of Nov. 30, 2011, according to investment reports on the fund's website.
Also, $2.5 million each was committed to Riverside Fund V and Global Infrastructure Partners II. The system already has $1.5 million invested in a Riverside fund.
Meketa Investment Group, the fund's alternatives consultant, assisted with the searches.
