S&P, MSCI have nearly half of ETF assets tracking their benchmarks

According to data compiled by ETF Global Insight, nearly half of ETF assets track benchmarks provided by Standard & Poor's and MSCI. There were 306 ETFs accounting for 25.6% of total product assets that followed S&P indexes as of Feb. 29, while 165 ETFs accounting for 23.8% of total assets track MSCI indexes.
