Missouri State Employees’ Retirement System, Jefferson City, is searching for an actuarial consultant to perform an audit on the system’s current actuary, confirmed Greg Beck, chief auditor.
The $7.8 billion system’s current actuary, Gabriel Roeder Smith, will perform an actuarial valuation on June 30, and the actuarial consultant is expected to “express an opinion regarding the reasonableness and/or accuracy of valuation results, actuarial assumptions and application of the actuarial cost method,” according to an RFP.
A PDF of the RFP is available on the pension fund’s website.
Proposals are due at 4:30 p.m. CST March 9. A selection is expected at the retirement system’s June 12 board meeting.
