Bethany Rhodes was named director of the Ohio Retirement Study Council, the state Legislature's pension oversight committee, according to a spokesman in the office of state Sen. Keith Faber, chairman of the council.
Ms. Rhodes replaces Aristotle L. Hutras, who retired Dec. 30.
Ms. Rhodes is currently deputy legal counsel for the Ohio's state House Republican Caucus.
Council staff attorney Anne Erkman had been serving as interim director since Mr. Hutras' retirement.
