Investment officers of pension funds, endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds now have a one-stop shop for daily commentary and analysis of everything related to asset servicing from securities lending and collateral pool management to custody, prime brokerage and liquidity management.
A new website for asset owners, Asset Ops & Strategy, was launched Feb. 6 by Finadium LLC, Concord, Mass., a research and consulting firm.
Recent blog posts on the site, which included “SEC money market reform: the not terrible, the bad and the really ugly” and “Dodd-Frank's Orderly Liquidation Authority and its impact on securities lending,” might seem a tad dry.
But Josh Galper, Finadium's managing principal and chief blogger, said similar topics on Finadium's other discussion website, Securities Finance Monitor, met with “great feedback.”
Both Finadium websites are designed to promote discussion, although Mr. Galper acknowledged that so far, subscribers “tend to be shy” about commenting online.
“But I know the commentary we're providing is pretty well-received because a lot of people are coming up to me at conferences to talk about the sites,” he added.
