In a presentation to the Teacher Retirement System of Texas on Feb. 15, KKR said it believes non-traditional fixed income could become the asset class of choice in 2012 in a yield-hungry environment. Citing historically high default and liquidity premiums, KKR said the corporate market may offer better yields and potentially less risk.
