Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System, Harrisburg, is searching for an actuarial consultant, confirmed James Allen, secretary of the $1.5 billion system.
The selected firm would work under a four-year contract to begin July 1.
The contract of the current actuary, Cheiron Associates, expires June 30. The firm can rebid.
Proposals are due March 5. The system hopes to make a decision at the system's board meeting at the end of March, or May at the latest, said Mr. Allen in a telephone interview.
The RFQ can be found on the Pennsylvania state website.
