Orange County Employees Retirement System, Santa Ana, Calif., issued an RFP for an executive search firm for the newly created position of managing director of investments at the $8.8 billion system.
The selected search firm will be responsible for reviewing and offering suggested improvements to the current position description, and assessing and providing recommendations for the current investment department structure, in addition to the executive search.
The OCERS board approved the creation of the new executive-level position in 2010. The managing director of investments will develop an innovative long-range and comprehensive investment vision and strategy for the system. CEO Steve Delaney will supervise the new position.
Proposals are due at 5 p.m. PST Friday. Interviews will start the first week of March, with a selection anticipated March 12-14.
