Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Fire & Police Pension Fund hired Wells Capital Management to run about $15 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities, confirmed Karen Warner, plan administrator.
The $307 million fund issued an RFP in August; the search was done to add diversification. Wells will be funded from rebalancing, Ms. Warner said in a telephone interview.
Other finalists were Boston Co. Asset Management and MFS Investment Management.
