David Picher was named managing director, institutional sales and marketing, at Palisade Capital Management, confirmed COO Jeffrey Serkes.
Mr. Picher replaced Bruce Deutsch, who will stay on as a consultant at Palisade for up to three months before pursuing new opportunities, Mr. Serkes said.
Mr. Picher will report to Mr. Serkes.
“He's got great relationships with the consultants,” Mr. Serkes said in a telephone interview.
Mr. Picher, in a telephone interview, said he was a partner at startup investment boutique Crosswind Investments. From 2007 to 2009, he said he served as senior vice president and head of global consultant relations at Pyramis Global Advisors, where he led a team that launched a new alternatives investment platform and distributed traditional and alternative asset products, primarily through consultants.
Malcolm MacColl, founder and managing director of Crosswind, did not return phone calls by press time for information about Mr. Picher's replacement.
Mr. Deutsch couldn't be reached for comment.
Palisade has about $3.4 billion in assets under management.
