Kenneth Rubin was named senior managing director and hedge fund portfolio manager at alternative investment manager Black Diamond Capital Management.
Mr. Rubin's position is new, said Michael Moreno, principal, in an interview.
Mr. Rubin works on the firm's credit hedge fund strategies with Stephen Deckoff, managing principal, and is based in Black Diamond's Greenwich, Conn., headquarters.
Black Diamond managed in excess of $10 billion, mostly for institutional investors, as of Dec. 31 in hedge funds, control distressed/private equity, mezzanine debt funds and collateralized debt-obligation funds and other structured vehicles.
Mr. Rubin was managing director and co-head of the credit group at hedge fund manager Och-Ziff Capital Management Group. While there, Mr. Rubin managed Och-Ziff's U.S. corporate credit portfolio.
Jonathan Gasthalter, a spokesman for Och-Ziff, declined to comment about Mr. Rubin's replacement.
