R.C. Bigelow Inc., Fairfield, Conn., hired New York Life Retirement Plan Services as record keeper and administrator of its 401(k) and profit-sharing plans with combined assets of about $30 million, confirmed Linda DiDomenico, assistant treasurer and head of Bigelow's 401(k) committee.
In an interview, Ms. DiDomenico said her company chose New York Life to consolidate and simplify record keeping. The current record keeper for the 401(k) plan is T. Rowe Price and the current administrator for the profit-sharing plan is The Pension Service.
New York Life's contract starts Jan. 1. The firm was one of seven finalists reviewed by Bigelow after the company issued an RFP in June.
