Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, Columbus, hired Boston Co. Asset Management and Los Angeles Capital Management to run a total of $150 million in domestic active extension equities, confirmed spokesman Mike Pramik.
Boston Co. will run $100 million; Los Angeles Capital will run $50 million.
The $76 billion system is currently in negotiations with D.E. Shaw and J.P. Morgan Asset Management to run the same strategies as well, according to Mr. Pramik in a telephone interview. Their asset amounts have not been determined.
An RFI was issued in August 2010. Mr. Pramik could not provide details on the funding source.
