Milwaukee County Employees' Retirement System is searching for a private equity fund-of-funds manager to run about $20 million, according to an RFP posted on the system's website.
The $1.8 billion pension fund is seeking a firm to manage a fund of buyout funds of small- to midsized firms. As of Aug. 31, the system's target allocation to private equity was 3%, with an actual allocation of 1.5%, or $25.8 million.
The RFP is available online.
Proposals are due at noon CST on Jan. 19. No information on a decision date was made available.
Phone calls to Matt Hanchek, interim retirement system manager, and Rob Britenbach, consultant at Marquette Associates, which is assisting the system on the search, were not returned by press time.
