Erin Spalsbury was named lead portfolio manager at J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Columbus, Ohio-based liability-driven investment solutions group, confirmed spokeswoman Charlotte Powell.
The position is new and reflects the firm's growing focus on LDI, as interest from large institutional clients continues to pick up, Ms. Powell said.
Ms. Spalsbury was an executive director and credit portfolio manager at the firm, serving middle-market institutional clients. The position is likely to be filled, Ms. Powell said, but no information regarding a replacement is available yet.
