Rogier Krens was named chief investment officer of fiduciary manager Syntrus Achmea, which has €52 billion ($70 billion) in assets under management, said spokesman Erik van der Struijs.
Mr. Krens, manager of Syntrus Achmea's treasury and derivatives division, will replace Marjolein Sol, who is resigning as CIO on Jan. 1. Ms. Sol will stay on as senior adviser, a new position, and will work with Mr. Krens on strategic projects in money management, Mr. van der Struijs said.
Further information about Ms. Sol's reason for resigning was not available, and Ms. Sol could not be reached for comment by press time.
A replacement for Mr. Krens has not been announced.
