Michael Walsh was named chief investment officer of the $5.3 billion Chicago Municipal Employees’ Annuity & Benefit Fund, effective Jan. 1, confirmed spokeswoman Stacey Ruffolo.
He replaces James Mohler, who was named executive director effective Dec. 1. Mr. Mohler replaced Terrance Stefanski, who is retiring.
Mr. Walsh, currently deputy city treasurer for Chicago, will be succeeded by Thomas Latzke, according to city treasurer spokewoman Lilia Chacon. Mr. Latzke is assistant city treasurer.
