Orange County Employees Retirement System, Santa Ana, Calif., hired R.V. Kuhns as its real estate consultant.
Officials at the $8.5 billion pension fund launched an RFP in February; Callan Associates was the incumbent.
Separately, system officials placed Morgan Stanley Real Estate and Hancock Agricultural Investment Group on watch for six months because of personnel changes, stated Robert Kinsler, spokesman in an e-mail response to inquiries.
The Orange County system has $152 million invested in Morgan Stanley Real Estate's Prime Property Fund, an $8.5 billion core property fund, according to a staff report to the board. David Morrison, head of research and strategy, and co-head of the Prime Property Fund, resigned.
Hancock Agricultural manages $11 million in an agriculture separate account. Jeffrey Conrad, president, retired in September.
