Peter Lert, Steve Malin and Shuan Wei joined Aronson Johnson Ortiz as associates, all new positions, said Theodore R. Aronson, partner.
Mr. Lert was a senior portfolio specialist in a quantitative equity group at Wells Capital. He left the group last month when it transitioned to Golden Capital Management as Wells increased its ownership of the firm to a 65% majority stake. Jon Cangalosi, Golden Capital spokesman, said Mr. Lert’s position was eliminated.
Mr. Malin was a senior portfolio manager at AllianceBernstein. He left the firm in February. John Meyers, AllianceBernstein spokesman, could not be reached for comment.
Mr. Wei was a vice president in the quantitative research group at Barclays Capital. He left in summer when the department was closed.
