Chris Wagstaff stepped down as head of investment education at Aviva Investors in London to “pursue new opportunities outside the business,” company spokeswoman Angela Warburton said in an e-mail.
Aviva Investors is “assessing our requirements in this area” and has not decided whether Mr. Wagstaff will be replaced, Ms. Warburton wrote.
Reached by telephone, Mr. Wagstaff described it as a “friendly parting” but declined to comment on reasons for his departure or on his plans. He will retain his position as trustee director of the £8.2 billion ($13.2 billion) Aviva Staff Pension Scheme, Perth, Scotland, he said.
