Michael Doshier was named vice president and head of external markets at MassMutual Retirement Services, confirmed Jessica Barry, marketing specialist.
The position is new.
Mr. Doshier will lead efforts in plan sponsor and investment adviser marketing and competitive insights. He will report to E. Heather Smiley, chief marketing officer.
"His experience really fit with the team and his passion for business was an exact fit for what we needed," Ms. Smiley said in a telephone interview.
Mr. Doshier was vice president of marketing at Fidelity Investments, where he was responsible for driving integrated marketing plans for the firm's retirement business. Fidelity spokesman Stephen Austin confirmed Mr. Doshier left but would not comment on a replacement.
