Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, hired emerging markets equities managers Vontobel Asset Management to run $55 million and Wasatch Advisors to run $25 million, both in emerging markets equities, confirmed Steven K. Snyder, executive director and chief investment officer of the $1.8 billion system.
The investments will be funded from overweight positions in low-volatility fixed income, global fixed income and international equities, Mr. Snyder said when the system launched the emerging markets equity manager search in July.
The system had a 93% funded ratio as of June 30, he said in the e-mail.
Mr. Snyder could not immediately be reached for additional comment.
