Richard Tan and Agnes Lee were named consultants on Towers Watson’s private markets manager research team in Hong Kong, confirmed Paul Deane-Williams, public relations director.
Both are new positions. They will report to Naomi Denning, head of investment for Asia-Pacific, and Craig Baker, global head of research.
“We’ve had an increase in demand from clients in the private market area — infrastructure, private equity and real estate,” Mr. Deane-Williams said in a telephone interview. “There likely will be more hires in the future.”
Mr. Tan and Ms. Lee will be focused on private markets research and join a team of about 40, advising clients with assets under advisement of about $60 billion.
Mr. Tan was an investment director at Squadron Capital, a private equity fund-of-funds manager in Hong Kong. Ms. Lee was an investment director at Navis Capital Partners, a growth-oriented buyout firm focusing on South and Southeast Asia.
