Andrzej Rojek joined Advent Capital Management as managing director in the marketing unit of the convertible and high-yield bond specialist, according to David Millar, a company spokesman.
Also joining Advent are Marc J. Friezo, as associate portfolio manager for Advent Capital’s hedged convertible strategy; Thomas Cui, who joined as a portfolio analyst for the hedged convertible strategy; and Douglas A.D. Teresko as associate portfolio manager for the company’s long-only convertible bond strategy.
All the positions are new, Mr. Millar said.
Messrs. Rojek, Friezo and Cui all came from Lydian Asset Management, which closed in July, Mr. Millar said in an interview. There, Mr. Rojek was co-founder and principal, with responsibility for marketing, client relationships and business strategy; Mr. Friezo was a managing director and portfolio manager; and Mr. Cui was a junior portfolio manager.
Mr. Teresko was director and head of relative value equity and also worked on convertible bond strategies in Credit Suisse’s global proprietary trading unit.
Karen Laureano-Rikardsen, a Credit Suisse spokeswoman, declined to comment about Mr. Teresko’s replacement.
Advent Capital managed $6 billion in convertible and high-yield bonds and equities as of Sept. 30. About 75% of the assets are managed for institutional investors.
