Greg McGreevey, president of Hartford Investment Management Co. and executive vice president and chief investment officer of Hartford Financial Services Group, is leaving the firm by the end of the month, confirmed spokesman Dave Snowden.
Mr. McGreevey is departing to “pursue an opportunity at a global investment management firm,” according to a news release. Details could not be learned.
Hugh Whelan, was named acting head of Hartford Investment Management; he is managing director and head of investments. A search for a permanent replacement will begin immediately.
Efforts to reach Mr. McGreevey were unsuccessful.
