Gwynedd Council Pension Fund, Caernarfon, Wales, is searching for managers to be included in a preapproved list to run an active global equity portfolio valued at up to £195 million ($305 million), according to European procurement platform Tenders Electronic Daily.
Marina Parry-Owen, pensions and investments officer of the £1.02 billion fund, could not be reached by press time for further information. However, according to the fund’s annual report for the year ended March 31, Gwynedd’s allocation to all overseas equities strategies totaled about £430 million, or about 42% of the total assets.
Most of the global equities portfolio is actively managed by Capital International and Fidelity Investments, with each running about £180 million, according to the annual report.
Proposals are due Oct. 19. Further information can be obtained from consultant Hymans Robertson via e-mail at [email protected].
