Santa Barbara County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement System is searching for a general investment consultant, confirmed Lila Deeds, interim chief investment officer.
The consultant will work with ORG and Hamilton Lane, the $1.9 billion system's real estate and private equity consultants, respectively, in implementing a new asset allocation.
The system's current consultant, Pension Consulting Alliance, conducted the asset allocation study and is invited to rebid. PCA's contract is up on Dec. 31

The deadline for proposals is Oct. 18. Finalist interviews will take place Dec. 14 with an anticipated start date of Jan. 1, 2012.
